The Ring Shear Tester RST-01.01 (manually operated) is the manually operated tester of the RST-01 series. The tester is designed for the measurement of flow properties of powders and bulk solids (e.g. flowability, internal friction, time consolidation and caking, bulk density, attrition). It is suitable for measurements for quality control and product characterization, for comparative tests and for silo design. "Manually operated" means that during the test the operator has to place weight pieces on a hanger, he has to switch on and off the motor drive of the shear cell, and he has to read the test results form a chart recorder or a data acquisition system. In contrast to this, the computer-controlled Ring Shear Tester RST-01.pc performs all this automatically, i.e. an operator is not required during the test is running. |
